Mrs. Pride's Class: Chapter 2 Math Quiz on Wednesday

Mrs. Pride's class has a math quiz on Wednesday over Chapter 2.  Chapter 2 covers the following information:

• Comparing Numbers (using <, >, =)
• Ordering Numbers: Greatest to Least and Least to Greatest
• Rounding Numbers (see steps below)
• Organizing information in a table...always order from greatest to least or least to greatest!

Here are the steps we learned for Rounding Numbers:

1. Circle in the digit in the place value to be rounded
2. Underline the digit to the its right....this number tells the circled number what to do...
3. If underlined digit is….
• “4 or below…leave it alone”
• “5 and above…give it a shove”
4. Change all digits behind rounded place value to zeros
