Miss Zelle's November Newsletter

Dear Parents/Guardians,
The fourth graders continue to work hard at school, and put forth their best efforts!  I was excited to meet with you all last week for conferences.  In math we continue to work on our place value and number sense unit.  When we finish, we will begin working on our unit of time, data, and graphing.  In science we are learning about energy transfer in ecosystems, such as the roles of living things, and how living things get their energy.  When we finish, we will learn about how weathering and erosion affect rocks, and about soil.  In communication arts we are learning about making inferences.  In writing we are working on taking a persuasive piece of writing through the writing process.  As always, make sure your student is reading nightly.
November should be a fun month!
As always, feel freeto contact me with questions.
