Miss Zelle's Chapter 15 Lesson 2 Quiz Friday

In science this week we learned about Chapter 15 Lesson 2, What is Acceleration.  We are going to be taking our quiz on Friday this week.  Your child should study the following:

• Velocity: is when you tell both the speed and direction.  Ex: 30 mph, north
• Acceleration: is any change in the speed or direction of an object's motion.  Acceleration is any change in velocity.  Ex: speeding up, slowing down, and turning
• Force- is a push and pull of all kinds.  Force changes motion, which in turn causes acceleration. 
• Inertia- is the property of matter that keeps matter moving in a straight line, and keeps unmoving matter at rest.  Ex: a magician pulling a tablecloth from underneath dishes.

Miss Zelle's Chapter 26 Math Quiz Wednesday

Miss Zelle's class will have their Chapter 26 Math quiz on Wednesday, May 2nd.  There study guides will be due on Wednesday, and we will review them before taking the quiz.  They should study the following:

• How to write and fraction and decimal from a picture
• How to turn a fraction into a decimal (tenths, hundredths, thousandths)
• How to turn a decimal into a fraction (tenths, hundredths, thousandths)
• How to find equivalent decimals
• How to compare decimals
• How to order decimals
• Don't forget to compare and order decimals the first step is always to line them up!
