Miss Zelle's Unit 4 Math Test Friday

Miss Zelle's class has their Unit 4 Test this Friday.  They should study the following:

• How to use a basic fact and pattern.  Ex: 700 x 5 Basic Fact 7 x 5 = 35, then add 2 zeros
• Estimating products.  If you have 2, 3, or 4 numbers by 1 number only round the first number, then multiply.  Ex: 65 x 4, Round 65 to 70 then multiply by 4 to get 280.  If you have a 2 x 2 or 2 x 3 digit number then round both numbers and then multiply.  Ex:  654 x 34 Round 654 to 700 and 34 to 30, then multiply to get 21,000. 
• Multiply 1 x 2 digit problems
• Multiply 1 x 3 digit problems
• Multiply 1 x 4 digit problems
• Multiply 2 x 2 digit problems by the traditional method or box method
• Be able to write and solve expressions and equations
• Be able to do multistep word problems

The study guide is due on Thursday, and we will review that day with math centers.
